We get this questions a lot so figured we'd add it here too - the box located under the seat is an insulated and welded cooler that will maintain ice for 8+ hours. It also has enough space for 15, 12oz cans of your favourite beverage. The cooler can also serve as utility storage as it has 2 exterior pockets that are perfect for keys, sunglasses, suncreams etc.
